I think it's 9 or 10" wheels. Little workhorse sets on my bench, endless uses. Today, while cutting coco segments in the Paulick Arch jig, it started misbehaving badly. I readjusted guides and bearings. No good, blade would just shift around on the NEW tires I installed a couple months ago. Finally, went and bought some new 59.5 inch blades and it settled down.

Really? I can't believe it was the blade. Am I wrong?

Blades may have been misaligned when welded , would cause it to work back and forth

Well, I had been cutting arcs and perhaps I stressed the blade at some point. What u say makes sense. I took the old one off several times, reinstalled, adjusted bearings and guides and each time it started off ok then it would jump off center. I put the new one on and it was good from the start. So, I'm gonna slow those arc cuts down.

1/8". Need a small blade for that jig. I got through the final two rosettes, so it does appear the new blade was the fix.

Frank, yup, that's what it was doing. For grins, I went out and inspected the blade, could find no cracks. I guess I could put it under tension and see. This is a cheapie saw. If I could find a quality 9" bench model, I might be interested. They are so useful. Especially given they use those 1/8" blades.

A badly welded blade will often do the same dance, as will one that has suffered a "crash" and has not broken, but become deformed.

I see that lots on big band saws. When a blade has a crack it'll jump or get twitchy. I try to spot it right away and shut down before it snaps while cutting. Otherwise could be messy. Good sharp blades are awesome and make things so much easier.
